What is the delivery time for PESOLA catalogue items
There is usually no delay. More than 99% of our catalogue items are on stock. Should an item for once not be available on short term basis, we will inform you by e-mail.
What are the shipping options?
Switzerland:
All orders will be shipped by DHL.
Outside Switzerland:
All orders will be shipped by DHL. With this method, we can guarantee a prompt delivery and shipments can be tracked more easily.
How much are the shipping costs?
Schweiz:
Shipment and packing charges for packages up to 30.5kg = CHF 10.50 / order
Outside Switzerland:
Shipping charges depend on the choosen option Post or DHL and the total weight of the order. An overview can be downloaded in our download section.
What are the additional charges for deliveries outside Switzerland?
The prices in our online shop are exclusive VAT. The freight charges added to the total oder value inlcude however door-to-door delivery. When importing to the receiving country, the local VAT become due. The local delivery agent may collect the VAT amount in cash. Further, the local delivery agent may charge customs handling charges of up to CHF 30.00.
Which payment options are offered?
Wir bieten die Zahlung per Kreditkarte oder per Vorauszahlung an. Die Abwicklung von Kreditkartenzahlungen erfolgt über einen externen Dienstleister, welcher mit dem Pesola Online Shop verbunden ist. Bei dringenden Bestellungen empfehlen wir die Bezahlung per Kreditkarte. Bei der Option Vorauszahlung ist der Gesamtbetrag gemäss Auftragsbestätigung auf unser Konto zu überweisen. Der Versand der Ware erfolgt nach Zahlungseingang.
Firmenkunden aus der Schweiz können auch auf Rechnung bestellen.

For corporate clients in Switzerland, we offer the option to order on account. For corporate clients outside Switzerland, order on account is only possible after consulting with PESOLA.

Can PESOLA spring scales be sterilised?
Yes. Permitted procedures of sterilizing PESOLA spring scales:
- In autoclave at 120°C at 1 bar for 45 min.
- 15 h in acetylene.
High temperatures along with high pressure set limits to fast sterilisation processes.
We particularly recommend sterilisation in acetylene as this process avoids humidity inside the scale.
Synthetic parts are incompatible with high concentrations of chlorine and its compounds.
Are the springs subject to fatigue due to age or frequent use?
No. They are designed to be fatigue resistant, even being used a million of times.
Why are the springs of scales above 2kg / 20N not made of stainless steel like the ones with lower capacities?
They are made of quality steel spring wire with protection against corrosion to guarantee a perfect recovery of the zero position after discharge. Stainless steel wires would resist corrosion even better but do not meet our high requirements of measuring precision.
Can scales be ordered with certificate?
Yes, PESOLA scales can be ordered with a certificate. When order, simply add as many certificate items to your shopping basket as scales you ordered:
Certificate item Z1 = scales up to 50kg/500N
Certificate item Z2 = scales 100 – 200kg
Certificate item Z3 = scales more than 200kg
Can certificates be ordered subsequently?
No, a subsequent certification is not possible. Each scale is individually measured and the measuring result documented on the certificate. For a certification, the scale needs to be returned to PESOLA.
Is PESOLA Inc. quality certified?
Our internal procedures are organised and controlled according to quality specifications. Our inspection equipment is periodically calibrated by a gauging office. However we refrain from establishing further measures of certification for our company and prefer to invest into perfectly automated processes. Every customer is free to verify our high quality standards. Furthermore we optionally offer test certificates for our spring scales. A rate of return lower than 1 out of 1000 stands for the exceptional PESOLA quality. Beyond warranty these few cases are being handled in the most customer-friendly way and usually occur due to improper handling. You may therefore rely on the legendary PESOLA quality and precision.
What is the background of the name “PESOLA®”
In Italian: pesare = to weigh
In French: peser = to weigh
In Spanish: pesar = to weigh
Our company name “PESOLA®” is registered internationally and derives from the verb “to weigh” out of the Latin language area.
